NBAA Welcomes Industry Veteran Gary Dempsey as New NATA President
/The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today welcomed industry veteran Gary Dempsey to his new position as president of the National Air Transportation Association (NATA).
Dempsey was recently selected by NATA’s board of directors to succeed Marty Hiller, who is departing to focus on his business. Dempsey assumes the responsibilities affiliated with his role as president on Oct. 1.
“NATA is a leading general aviation association that has worked closely with NBAA to promote an environment that allows business aviation to thrive,” noted NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We have enjoyed working closely and effectively with Marty during his tenure as NATA president, and we look forward to building on that foundation when Gary assumes his new responsibilities. Gary is a proven leader in the business aviation community, whose passion and expertise truly stand out.”
Dempsey served on NBAA’s Associate Member Advisory Council from 2007-2012.
He served on NATA’s board, including as its chair, before being selected as its president. In the industry, he has held positions with Jet Aviation, Cessna Aircraft Company, Beechcraft and General Dynamics Services, among others.
